the lively feel monohull sailors appreciate.
Kweli is hull #6, and she has benefitted from the full suite of factory post‑production upgrades carried out by dedicated Excess/Beneteau
teams. These teams visited the boat in Portsmouth (UK), Lanzarote (Canaries), and Trinidad to bring early Excess 14s up to the latest
standard—protecting both safety and long‑term value. Key works include reinforcement of the forward hulls below the waterline and under
the water tanks/mast step, upgraded rudder shaft bearings, improved bobstay and bowsprit arrangements, new davits and bow roller,
additional deck cleats, upgraded mainsail reefing lines, and various running rigging and steering improvements. The result is an early‑hull
Excess 14 that has been comprehensively updated by the builder itself.
Inside, the 3‑cabin layout provides a true owner’s suite with a central bathroom and generous storage—ideal for extended cruising. She’s also
