FOR SALE – Bluewater Cruiser “Petit Prince – NINDETHANA”

French Flag – VAT Paid

The “Petit Prince – Nindethana” is a proven bluewater sailing yacht, renowned for her robustness and her high-quality MARINOR steel construction. Designed by Marcel Subrero and built by the Jaï shipyard in 1983, she offers exceptional interior volume for a 12.50-metre vessel, as well as a fully-glazed inside wheelhouse providing 360° visibility. This makes watchkeeping extremely comfortable and safe, especially during night passages or difficult weather conditions. Originally rigged as a ketch, she was later converted into a sloop to improve sailing performance, reduce windage, and free up the aft deck. Her full-batten mainsail with three reefs and her well-balanced rig offer excellent behaviour at sea, particularly in strong winds and heavy seas.

On deck, the large uncluttered foredeck features a Lofran Tigre 1000 W windlass, a 35 kg Delta anchor with stainless-steel connector, and a 23 kg Brittany anchor as backup. The central cockpit is well protected and equipped with eight Lewmar winches, a Silva compass mounted on a Morse pedestal, a UV-protected sprayhood with a brand-new spare unit, and an almost new lazy bag. Aft, the davits support the Siemens solar panels installed in 2024, and a stainless-steel swim platform facilitates sea access. The entire deck benefits from a recent Kiwi Grip non-skid coating.

The rig includes a 15-metre Francespar mast, ACMO stainless-steel standing rigging, a full-batten mainsail in good condition, a 50 m² genoa also in excellent shape, a near-new staysail, and a storm jib that has never been used. All chainplates are stainless steel, and the entire rig is sized for demanding offshore sailing.

The yacht is powered by a 83 HP Fornaut diesel engine with approximately 3,200 hours. It is supplied by a main 600-litre fuel tank integrated into the keel and a 70-litre day tank. Engine access is excellent from the side cabins. The fuel circuit benefits from a pre-filter and twin cartridge filters, the freshwater pump was replaced in 2023, and the three-blade Vetus propeller is fully protected by the skeg-supported rudder.

The electrical system operates on 24 volts with four 6-volt service batteries connected in series, complemented by two 12-volt engine batteries. The onboard electronics are powered through a 24/12 V converter providing regulated 13.8 V. A separate inverter supplies 220 V AC for domestic appliances. Energy production is ensured by two Siemens 140 W panels connected to a Victron charge controller, combined with the engine alternator or the 30 A shore charger.

The navigation electronics include an Icom SSB with Pactor modem for offshore emails and GRIB weather files, a Navicom DSC VHF, an AIS SR161, two Garmin GPS units (including a GPSMAP 276C), a Raytheon ST6000 autopilot, a Raytheon Pathfinder radar, and Raymarine depth and wind instruments.

The interior is bright and spacious, featuring an inside wheelhouse offering panoramic visibility and an interior helm mechanically linked to the outside steering. The saloon includes a large convertible table surrounded by generous storage. The galley is equipped with an ENO stove, gas water heater, refrigerator, and three freshwater tanks totalling 320 litres. The aft cabin offers a large double berth and significant storage, while the starboard cabin provides two convertible bunks. Forward, a bathroom with a bath/shower and hot/cold water leads to the forward cabin with a semi-double berth and a very large sail locker.

The boat is located in the Mediterranean under the French flag, VAT paid. Viewings are possible by appointment with the owner.
