The Moody 47 is a renowned offshore cruising yacht, designed for safe, comfortable and self-sufficient long-distance sailing. Built in 2003, this privately owned example measures 14.17 metres in length, with a 4.39-metre beam, is powered by a Yanmar 70 HP inboard diesel engine and features a 2.06-metre draft. Extensively equipped for serious bluewater cruising, she combines exceptional comfort with impressive autonomy for extended passages.

The spacious interior offers three cabins and two bathrooms, creating comfortable accommodation for family and guests. The fully equipped galley includes two electric refrigerators, freezer and washing machine, while the saloon features a Smart TV with antenna. Fresh water capacity of 400 litres, together with an Osmosea New 1265 watermaker, provides excellent independence during long cruises.

The cockpit has been designed for safe offshore sailing and includes a hydraulic bathing platform, electric windlass, twin electric genoa winches, bow thruster, solar panels producing 495 W, stern davits, dinghy crane and complete tender package with a 3.20-metre inflatable and 15 HP outboard engine. The teak decking was completely renewed in 2020, while the hull received a professional blue repaint the same year.

Navigation equipment includes Raymarine electronics with E120 GPS chartplotter, depth sounder, speed log and wind instruments. A Paguro 6 kW generator, inverter, battery charger, 220V shore power connection and Starlink pre-installation ensure excellent onboard autonomy. The JProp variable-pitch propeller improves sailing performance and engine efficiency.

The sail inventory includes furling mainsail, furling genoa, self-tacking staysail and Yankee, complemented by running backstays for enhanced offshore performance. Offshore safety equipment includes a six-person liferaft, EPIRB and updated seaworthiness certification valid until 2031. Registered under the Spanish List 7 for private use and licensed for ten persons, this Moody 47 is fully prepared for extended cruising.
